"Thousand Steps Beach" Laguna Beach, California - Colored Pencil Drawing by Artist David Kizziar
"Thousand Steps Beach" Laguna Beach, Califoria by Artist David Kizziar
11" x 14" or 16" x 20" Giclée archival print with soft white, acid free mat (fits into a standard frame)
Kizziar captures a unique pattern of winter tide erosion on the shore reflecting the distance of the beach and its few cottages up on the cliffs by using 6 colored prisma pencils. (4 brown/2 white) The original drawing measures approximately 10.5" x 14" and took approximately 300 hours to complete.
Thousand Steps Beach located in South Laguna features approximately 223 actual steps of a steep staircase covered with trees and vines in a thick canopy and offers glimpses of the ocean. The staircase, which feels like 1000 steps as you descend, opens up one of the largest beaches featuring two sheer cliffs which creates the cove.
