"Thousand Steps Beach" Laguna Beach, California Note Cards by Artist David Kizziar

"Thousand Steps Beach" Laguna Beach, California by Artist David Kizziar

Kizziar captures a unique pattern of winter tide erosion on the shore reflecting the distance of the beach and its few cottages up on the cliffs by using 6 colored prisma pencils. (4 brown/2 white)  The original drawing measures approximately 10.5" x 14" and  took approximately 250 hours to complete.

Thousand Steps Beach located in South Laguna features approximately 223 actual steps of a steep staircase covered with trees and vines in a thick canopy and offers glimpses of the ocean. The staircase , which feels like 1000 steps as you descend, opens up one of the largest beaches featuring two sheer cliffs which creates the cove.
